A speed square makes a quick and dirty cutting guide when using a circular saw, but are you holding it the wrong way?

The Technique
- Turn the speed square so it hooks to the far side of the board
- One point of the triangle will be pointing at you
- This gives you more straight edge to line the saw up against as you begin your cut.
- The result: straighter cuts.
